April 2015 Naturalization application Timeline ONLY

However, I think I have seen at least a dozen claims that a friend of somebody, or a client of some immigration lawyer, obtained a citizenship applying after 6 April, but I am yet to see a single confirmation with an actual timeline on this forum.

I will believe it when I see at least one plausible confirmation from a long-standing member.

What you have to remember is (at least) about 85% of those who have made the application do not visit this site and post their timelines. I shared what my work colleague (VP in my company) told me this morning as I walked in. I do not believe anyone in their right frame of mind would want to make people jealous on here, so take what you like from whats posted and leave what you dont

One of those who applied with his wife and 2 daughters is from New Zealand and had applied by post end of second week April he just told me. He has not got the ceremony invitation letter yet. The other ones in a meeting atmo, so will post back when I find out!

To be fair to uksws there have been quite a few false alarms. I really don't think this is one of them though.

This isn't because people are posting f ake timelines to make anyone jealous. It's often because people don't remember when they applied or they have a friend of a friend who "thinks" it was in mid-April sometime and through Chinese whispers the story finds its way onto this forum. And remember before April people were getting approvals in 3 weeks. Now it's taking 5 months - you can understand why we feel a bit short changed and stressed. So a bit of understanding on both sides please.

But I think we can say with some confidence now that the drought is over. My prediction (first approvals in August, bulk in September) is still bang on.

This looks plausible enough to me, I finally believe somebody got their approval!

Hopefully this means there will be a large number of approvals soon to compensate for a backlog which has accumulated over the last several months.

Hi, I've paid the new fees. I had an appointment with NCS on the 2nd, but few days before my appointment was due, i've received an email from NCS to let me know about the new fee and new form. So, even though I've applied on the 2nd, NCS didn't send my document until the 7th. I got the acknowledgement letter dated 30th April, along with the biometric letter, I did the biometric on the 11th of May. and this morning I received the approval letter. dated 14th August.

You all will be happy to know that things are moving ahead, with slow pace however. I've been following this forum for sometime, so to answer some questions that people might have... I applied on 2nd April via NCS but due to the long weekend my application was received by HO on 7th April. Yes I paid the new fee and I was supposed to register my biometrics which I did ofcourse.

Here's my timeline;

Date of acknowledgment Email: 27/04/2015
Date of acknowledgment Letter received: 01/05/2015

Another piece of information for everyone, you get 3 months to attend your ceremony but only 21 days from the date of the letter to book that ceremony. So if you're planning on travelling then this will be a useful thing to bear in mind.

just a quick update,spoke to naturalization team today chasing about file status they advised it all depends on the history of a person that how long will it take but they cannot do progress check untill/unless 6 months past.

he also advised that actual 6 months time period start from the date of acknowledgement letter not from date of application submitted or received by home office.

my time line is as under:
applied on 1st april:
acknowledgement and fee deducted: around 24th april
