advice most welcome

Post by intothedeep » Thu Aug 20, 2015 4:31 pm

a very good day to every one, i have just completed divorce from my wife who 12 months ago obtained her ILR. since obtaining her ILR the relationship totally changed. I definitely feel that I have become a victim of being used I must also mention that when away on vacation I had found that my wife had not declared on her visa applications that she had dependents and as such has a 14 year old son. there has over the last 12 months a series of events of which i have not reported thinking that her attitude would change. My wife has been stealing direct out of my personal bank account, disappearing while i am asleep with drawing cash, and has admitted the theft. She has been arrested for shop lifting. Open trade account with online fashion store in my mothers name and owes over £1000 on this account unpaid for 12 months obviously committing fraud. Is there any advice I can take would the Home Office look at the case for deportation if committed guilty of fraud and theft.

regards R

The only non-disclosure of material fact seems to be that she did not disclose having a child, but it is an issue only if that immigration application asked for such information (whether the applicant has any children who are not travelling with the applicant) and such information is considered mandatory.

All the rest falls under husband-wife private matters, unless reported to police and then convicted of the crime(s). British citizens carry out illegal activities, doesn't mean they are deprived of citizenship. Likewise, if people with settlement do carry out illegal activities doesn't mean Home Office can revoke their ILR.

You have been taken advantage of. Tough luck!! But you need to suck it up and move on!
