Post by robsters » Thu Aug 06, 2015 8:41 pm

Hello

so me and my wife have been living and working in dublin since february, she currently on a stamp 4 temp card with the full one given around late september , questions i have... I have been told we can apply for EU Family permit now as i worked for 6 months + even though my wife still on a temp card is that correct? or would it be wise to wait until the full card is approved?

2nd question is once in the uk we been living with a friend here in dublin we paid rent but there no tendency agreement as we just paying the friend we living with as we go, is a written letter and bills in there name and my name ok for the residence card application within the uk to show treaty rights been exercised?

last question whats the best way to prove centre of life test? i was planning photos, post cards from friends, tickets to events and fact my wife got pregnant here and show the hospital paperwork/scans etc....would this work? even if the baby ends up being born in the uk?

You don't need a Family Permit though given how it takes a monyh to get a COA it might help your partner work in Britain. You could travel to the UK tomorrow as there are not normally checks on Ireland flights. Alternatively go to Belfast and fly to the mainland on an internal flight.

Not sure about tenancy just make sure you have enough to prove it in the balance of probability.

Centre of life, membership of clubs and societies is good
Join a union, join a political party, go to a church, join your residents association ect.

whats the COA ? where do we get that? do we need that for my wife to get a job in the uk or does the family permit give her permission to work in the uk straight off?
