Worrying Query on on child's status

Post by InLondon » Fri Aug 21, 2015 1:43 pm

Guys,

Me and my wife have ILR ( based on 5 years Tier 1 General), got it a month back. I did not apply ILR for my daughter who is 2 years old, wanted to register her as British Citizen using MN1. My daughter currently has Tier 1 dependent visa valid till Dec 2017, and an Indian passport as well.
My query is:

1. I may have to travel to India next month, can my daughter travel with me on the her existing Tier 1 dependent visa or I need to change the category of her visa.

2. Can I apply for her MN1 and then travel to india while the application is in process. Will it cause any issues.

Please advise, thanks for all your help..

Regards...

1.Yes, she can travel on Tier1 dependent visa as long as its validity

2. Was she born in UK? If so, were you/your wife on ILR when she was born here in UK?

Hi Macrorun,

Thanks for your quick reply.

1. Quiet releived that my daughter can travel to India on Tier 1 General dependent visa, even thought we have ILR now.

2. For your 2nd query, Yes my daughter was born in the UK, and myself/wife was on Tier General when she was born here in UK.

Please advise if I was can apply for her MN1 and can leave for India while the application is in process.

Regards..

2. Yes. But MN1 application involves biometric enrolment, so plan travel accordingly.

Thanks for the informatioon sushdmehta, really appreciate the good work ur doing helping people.

1. So, If I fill the MN1 form and process through NCS by next week and travel by 1st week of november, do you think the two months am getting inbetween will be enough time for me to take care of Biometric requirements. And within these two months home office will send me the biometric letter for my daughter.

2. Also, I can take it as a confirmation that even though myself and my wife is on ILR now, my daughter will have no issues travelling to India with us on her Tier 1 dependent visa (valid till 2017)

Please advise

Why do you want people to repeat what has already been told?
