Complicated one....please look in...Really Stuck!

Hi everyone, not sure where to ask for advice so i am trying here so here goes...

I am a UK citizen (born here) and been living in Australia for the last 3 years and have been living together with an Australian women for the last 2, Now i am legally separated but not divorced (wife refuses) this was not a problem until my work is sending me back to the UK long term, obviously i would like my partner to come with me...but how can she?.

She is a music teacher (French Horn ect...) has qualifications but has found it more profitable to teach privately (self employed).

Any advice would be much appreciated, currently don`t know where to turn.

Unmarried Partner Visa dood.

You need two year relationship akin to marriage, which you seem to have, but you need proof in the form of documents/letters etc sent to each of you at your shared address and as many as possible in joint names. I forget the number required but I think it's 10 each, 20 in total but obviously as many as you can.

And it has to be two years, not 1 year 11 months and three weeks, they're a bit funny with that...

Thankyou so much!, will start going through the paperwork, plenty of letters to same joint address...only got 2 joint ones as they were for our rental property.

Unmarried partner visa. As far as I know it does not matter if you are not divorced, provided you can show the separation is permanent. http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk

However, are you an Australian permanent resident? If so, are you aware of the citizenship and resident return rules if you are going to be away from Australia for a long time?

Others in a similar situation might consider turning down work overseas until they have obtained their Australian citizenship.
