Hi.I am currently working under Tier 2 general visa which is still valid until December 2016.
I have a new job opening within my company which the company is very keen to hire me for, but it would result in change of duties and location therefore it will fall under a different SOC code.
I understand that I will have to apply for a new Tier 2 General visa but I have two questions,
1. Is it must that the new job is on shortage occupation list? (As it is not)
2. If the new job is not on shortage occupation list (which it is not), will my employer need to carry out the Resident Labour Market Test?
Or can they just issue me a new CoS for the new job which I can use to obtain a new Tier 2 General visa?
It might be worth mentioning here that before my current Tier 2 General visa, I was working with the same employer on Post Study Work Visa.
Your help will be hugely appreciated.
