Seychelles citizenship/child

Post by annabella » Thu Sep 03, 2015 12:34 am

Hi, I have not been able to find clear information on this. If I have a child with my partner who is a citizen of Seychelles, will the child automatically become a citizen of Seychelles through their father even if we are not married? And if this is not the case, what would be the process to have them registered as a citizen? I am from Finland myself and since the nearest embassy to acquire a Finnish passport would be in Kenya, I don't know how it would be possible to apply for a Finnish passport for my child if they were not granted a Seychelles passport first.
Thanks!
