Earnings : Company Taken-Over

Post by mamta » Tue Nov 06, 2007 11:43 am

Hi Everybody ,

I have been working in UK on work Permit since 12 months.
I have worked for xxx company and after 10 months it was TAKENOVER by another company YYY , so now I have 10 months Wage slips from company XXX and 2 months wage slips from company YYY.
Now If I have to provide "Earnings Period Claimed Letter From The Employer" , Company YYY only can provide, but my previous wage slips are on the company XXX .
Do I need to provide any extra Evidence regarding the
Take-Over , if so what are the Evidences I need to provide.
Thx In Advance.

Did you notify the Home Office of the takeover?

The question was, did you notify the Home Office of the change of ownership as you should have done (or your company should have done) under the work permit rules?

The process is invisible to any work permit holder. Companies get sold or taken over in n-different ways and their in house staffs or advisors will be handling this.
Home Office does not impose any special work permit transfer rules on company take over, merger or sale situations unless it is legally complicated. A new permit will be issued in the name of new company when the current permit expires. So it is important to inform HO, as this would enable them to link the old and new permits

A persons current work permit will be invalid only if the companies assets are ceased or they have operationally become dormant.

There is no requirement that you need to work in same company for 12 months!

You don't even need a letter from your employer. The HSMP guidance states that you need wage slips and bank statements and failing which you need a letter from employer stating salary.
