Tier 2 G dependent vignette granted earlier than travel date

Post by Shah1698 » Thu Sep 10, 2015 12:44 pm

Hi

I applied Tier 2 general for myself and my dependents, with different travel dates. Mine was 05 Sep 2015 and my dependents intended travel was 13 Nov 2015. However, dependents (wife + 2 children) also got granted vignette from 09 Sep 2018, as same as mine, but not as per actual travel date mentioned in visa application, i.e., 13th Nov 2015.

I am not sure what to do now, they must travel within 30 days? if so, it will be difficult to find suitable accommodation for my family in short time. :(

Did anyone else experience this?

Since you indicated their travel date on their applications, they should not have ignored it. You should ask them to change their vignette accordingly.

Thanks for getting back to me on this. I am not sure how to contact them (Should I contact VFS or BHC directly?). Will it be a complex procedure to get them corrected?
Please advice.

ECB19.4 Applicant is not in the UK wrote: If an applicant is not in the UK and has reason to believe that their visa has not been issued with the correct endorsement, they should contact an overseas visa section who will deal with the request.

Thanks Vinny. Let's assume - if we ignore this and travel on this visa, will it be a problem for future applications (while switching/ extention) as their visa date is not inline with visa application??

It should be okay to travel within the visa's validity date.
