ILR and time duration spend outside UK

Hi,

I got my FLR 2 yr marriage visa in OCT 2006 and i will apply for ILR in Oct 2008.

I work in uk and i have other job offer in uk where i will have to travel other countries for office work, would it effect my application for British nationality in future, because i think there is requirement for British passport application that one can't spend more than specific time outside UK.

Could anyone please advise me on that?
