British citizenship new rules

Post by thesaint » Tue Nov 06, 2007 10:54 pm

It has been announced it will be a new rules to apply for British citizenship I heard a lot about it some ideas it will be compulsory to do voluntary work.
I have no problem to do a voluntary work to help the community if I am unemployed as an example put unfortunately I am a full time employer so I really do not understand the idea of it .
Should I leave my full time job to have time for the voluntary work and then I will relay on benefits. its not what I like to do.

I really like to know your opinions about it and if you have any news.
I know that Lord Goldsmith will lunch his views in March about the new rules and I don’t know if it will be an exception for family members related to British families or not?

This is my first post and I am really admiring the fabulous job you doing here

This may or may not be one of Goldsmith's recommendations. If it is, it may or may not be taken up by the Government.

There is little point in speculating now.
