Tier 2 Dependent VISA for 4 Family Members

Post by GondalUK » Mon Sep 14, 2015 12:10 am

Hi All,

I am going to apply Dependent VISA for my wife and 3 children. My Tier 2 VISA was approved lat month and now I want to apply VISA for my family in this month.

I have arranged the following supporting documents:

1- Last 3 months bank statement and payslips to show required maintenance funds for required period
2- Employer Letter confirming employment
3- COS
4- Tenancy agreement, (I am going to rent 3 bed house, I heard from some friend that 2 bed house is not enough for family of 2 adults and 3 children according to council rules, anybody have idea about this?)
5- My BRP and Passport copies

I know I have to fill the application on visa4uk website, pay VISA fee and NHS fee. But I have few questions.

Question 1: Do I need to fill application for my wife and children separate? or I just need to fill application for my wife and add information of children in that application?

Question 2: If I have to submit separate applications then can I send photocopies of supporting document for application of my children and original with application for my wife, will it cause any problem?

Please let me know.

Thanks,
Masood Ahmed

q1. Separate applications for each applicant.
Child details are however required under the mother's application.

q2. That should be fine. A covering letter for each child applicant stating the originals are submitted along with Mother's application will be fine. Add the Mother's application reference number to the covering letter for children.
- Send all the applications together.

Hi aja,

Thanks for your response and advice.

>> - Send all the applications together.

By together you mean on same day or packaged as one application? I believe that they will send separately at VISA application centre and different case officers will be handling all 4 applications.

Thanks

are your dependents from incountry or outside of UK ?

If outside of UK, are they applying through VFS ?
Are they required to attend in person at the visa center ?

Hi aja,

Thanks for your continued help.

I am in UK on Tier 2 but all of my dependents are in Pakistan and they will apply VISA through VFS Islamabad.

Yes, they have to go to VISA application centre to submit application and at the same time photographs/biometrics details will be collected.

Thanks

Not to worry then,
in the VFS center, they will collect all the required documents, both originals and copies.

They will do the necessary cross referencing of children application to parents application.

They handle multiple similar applications each day, therefore, they will know how to link them appropriately.
As long as the applications are complete and required documents are in place, nothing to worry of.

--> Not sure if this is relevant to private / rented accommodation. Worth ringing your council office to check.
