FLRM Financial requirement URGENT HELP needed

Post by drayesha » Fri Sep 11, 2015 11:09 am

Hello all

I am in dire need of advise regarding which category to use. My husband is applying for extension of his stay (FLR-M) tomorrow!!. Hence the urgency... :(

1. His earnings from agency employment (hourly based (minimum of 35hrs a week) + overtime for additional hours worked) amounts to £16390/annum (over last 12 months) -My understanding is that this would be classed as non-salaried Category B for financial requirement.

2. I was on a monthly stipend (PhD) of £2500 since January 2014 which ended in June 2015 (roughly £29,000/annum) This would come under Category C (i think-however as the stipend ended in june and we are applying in september not sure if i can use this)

3. Over the last 4 months I have undertaken agency locum work (part time) and earned about £13,000. This is less than 6 months so would come under Category B.

Now my question is which do we use option 1 and 2 or option 1 and 3 for the visa financial requirement??

Please help. I will be most grateful

A

Flrm Financial requirements

Post by Exploits123 » Tue Sep 15, 2015 11:07 pm

I am applying for my flrm in some days time. I am the applicant and I meet the financial requirement because my salary is over 18600. I want to find out if I can use my payslips and statement and letter from work without including my husbands own.

This is probably too late for your now, but option 2 wouldn't be feasible. The rules require that a Cat C student stipend must still be payable for an extra 12 months FROM the date of application.

Dear all

Thank you to those who did reply. We managed to get the FLRM extension..

I just wanted to share my experience. We went for premium window service. As there was no time left to seek any advice we decided to declare all income over the last 12 months from all sources. This was a good move as the lady called us back to allow us to explain our financial situation. We applied under category B in the end.

She said they could not consider the stipend at ALL. They instead considered earnings of my husband and me over 12 months. Due to a misunderstanding my husband only printed out 6 months of payslips instead of 12-so they discarded his earnings altogether. As he would be category A not B and you cant combine A & B.

I had over earned last year and a prior employer payed back small amounts over 8 months and then I had income from more recent work (three different employers). This was taken as category B income over 12 months. The total amount was enough to secure the visa.

So, I'm glad it all worked out in the end. :D

Good luck to all
