Spouse visa and ILR

Post by sashank » Fri Nov 09, 2007 7:59 pm

Hi Forum Members
My mums brother came to the UK about 3 years ago with spouse visa. Just before he applied for ILR, his marriage broke in the sense that the girl started to have affair with someone else. They have not divorced yet but she is not supporting him for the ILR and she is asking for the outrageous amount of money to support which he can not afford. He applied for ILR on his own but was refused and he sent application for reconsideration to the home office and the application is not decided yet.

Reconsideration was for because he left his country for that women and she has now ditched him. He sold all his property in the country and has nothing to go back to because he left his good employement.

Will he have any chance of obtaining ILR?

sashank, sorry, but usually such cases are not given a positive response. He will have to find some other way of staying in the country.
