Tier 2 Transfer one Location to Another Same Company

Hi Friends,

I am still at early stages with a potential offer in Glasgow..They would be okay to sponser Tier 2 G visa.

I would like to check if i would be allowed to take transfer from Glasgow Office to London Office (Same Company, very similar or upgraded profile in similar role) from Tier 2 visa point of view?
I am guessing the salary will be changed, but will it need additional paperwork, approval etc from UK Immigration Authorities.

Or any other points i should note of... like will be it make clock start from zero for ILR 5 year calculation?

Other than COS issues should be fine.

The biggie here is London is SOOO much more expensive to live, especially accommodation.

No effect on ILR clock unless things messed up so badly your leave expired and you had to leave the country but that's unlikely to happen.

I agree London is very expensive. But if i want to working in finance, then london is a better place to be in long term as it got more roles etc.

regarding COS, i believe it WON'T be subject to annual quota (irrespective of its internal same company) or another new employer in London, pls could you confirm ?

Its a very big financial firm.. so i hope the HR team and their attorneys will take care of immigration things properly..

another question, is there a time frame i am allowed to stay outside of UK (for example, annual vacation, holidays, weekend etc..), if yes, how may days per/year or per/5 year from ILR Perspective.

these are 2 different things.

a) looking for Tier 2 G for myself, and later
b) T1 Ent for Spouse.

Objective is do following plan and properly.
