In that case hope for the best . In a month time or bit more you shall be getting Biometric invitation please dont delay it . After that its up to HO how much quickly , they process your application .

I got my ILR (through 10yrs) on 14th August and applied MN1 for my son and daughter (both born in the UK). Here is the time line:

Before looking at this forum, I was thinking the whole process will take few weeks as it is fairly straight forward, compared to other immigration applications. Now I know I have to be patient and wait for things to happen. But, my general feeling is that HO taking 6months for this process is ridiculous, especially while charging application fee of £749.
In other immigration applications, when they say the process can take UPTO 6months - but the majority of the applications get processed in 2-4months and only few cases take 6 months. In this particular application (MN1), the majority seems to be getting their results in about 5-6months. That is a clear indication that HO treat this application category as low priority. But, this delay affects every single family involved. Is there anything that can be done to flag this up?

******Biometric problem at post office
Strange thing happened when I took my 2 year old child for biometric enrolment at post office, guy at post office took 15-20 minutes and didn't seems like competent enough and said to me that biometrics are rejected because of 3 failed attempts ( reason was that child was moving and not standing still ) and we have to still send home office of this failed report and I still have to pay £19.20 fee which I did, he also said that his supervisor had override the system and put that it was a child, and home office can still consider the application without being any picture taken ,, also finger prints were also not taken because child is only 2 years old
I was advised to email biometric team if want more information about this problem, I emailed them on Monday 21/09/15 still waiting their reply ..
Anyone has experienced similar problem ? And what could be options now , will they still consider the application or it will only delay and biometrics needs to be taken again ?

Hi Finally got the reply today morning date on certificate is 21st September 2015 but I applied for my two daughters got the certificate for only one they did not mention anything about my other daughter what should I do is there any number I can ring them please help.

I submitted my children MN1 application together on 15/07/2015 through NCS islington borough of London and is received by home office at UK visas & Immigration Liverpool on 16/07/2015 through DX secure mail.

On 24/07/2015 i received an email from HO addressed to my daughter with the case ID
but i did not received an email for my son . As the application was submitted together in a same bundle and i was expecting acknowledgement of both of my children. Its been almost two months now i did not get any acknowledgement from HO for my son and fees still not deducted for both of my children that is why i am worried whether my son application is misplaced or it is considered under the same case ID of my daughter. Another concern is there is no sign of fees deductions.

However i am aware of the time line which is 2 to 6 months but just bit confused because some of my friends they submitted after me they got acknowledgement and bio metric request. Anyone with same situation or Senior member plz suggest what should i do ? i emailed them and spoke to them they gave me another postal address to explain the situation and she said fees should be deducted by now.

We received our original documents in the post this morning along with a note that both of our applications for daughters had been approved. The certificates will be following in the post.

This has been very complicated and difficult but the end has come just before hitting the six month deadline for the HO.

I applied for my two daughters, both adopted while we lived in the USA. My wife and I are both British born but hold dual citizenship with the USA. Our daughters were adopted from China and became US citizens through that adoption. I applied in April 2015 while we still lived in the USA, the applications were received by the HO on 09/04/2015. I never heard anything for months. I took up a new job in England in late July, we moved to the UK in late June. For a few weeks before we moved I called the HO who could not find our applications. I had really hoped that we would have the certificates before flying back to England. The cases were still missing when we returned in June, admission to England was difficult for my girls when we landed at Manchester. After several hours my girls were admitted with a special stamp that gave us 6 months to resolve their immigration status. We then applied for premium processing for ILR in early July, that was granted the same day. The very next day I received a phone call from the HO saying the MN1 applications had been located. I was able to update them with our new address in the UK and shortly after we received the biometrics request. First attempt at biometrics was rejected, the second must have ben successful!

So her we are applied on April 9th 2015, today September 26th 2015 we finally received notice that the cases were approved. Hope the certificates come quickly.
