EC Funds - Considering spouse - Senior members Plz

Hi ,
I am planning to apply for EC only for myself, and for my spouse we will try in 2-3 months time to apply for visa.

How much amount is sufficient to show in this case as savings?

Around 3000 Pounds liquid funds are enough ?
