Worried of Refusal !!

Post by Bucki » Mon Sep 28, 2015 12:45 pm

I am worried that my wife's Spouse Settlement Visa would be refused based on the following:

- that I got married back home with a non-british passport
- that I did not provide the "certificate of no impediment"

As explained previously: I got dual citizenship! When I got married back home with my country Passport; I said NO to their questions "do you hold any other nationalities" !!

Reason why I said "NO" because otherwise they would have rejected the marriage with my country passport, but instead come back to UK apply for "certificate of no impediment" and then go back again and get married!

At that time, I did not want go through the hassle and I said to myself "well I got dual citizenship, would should this be a problem". After all, now I regret it and I should have waited a bit longer and got married as British.

... but yeh, I didnt know things would go this way!!

On the marriage certificate; it states that my nationality is from Kasavo and not British.
and also shows the country home address.

By all means, my supporting document will be all from UK, payslips, work, bank statement etc.
Hoping that UKVI will not be that picky and put my marriage in question due to the fact that I got
married abroad as non british.

Anyway, what you guys thinking?!
Apparently they might call me and question me to WHY YOU DONE THAT !?

FACT:

Just right after the visa application, my country embassy or the foreign ministry of def. will be contacted asking questions about me + her = marriage.
