How many payslips and/or bank statements

Post by Andromeda2 » Sat Oct 03, 2015 6:08 pm

Dear Members,

EEA(PR): guidance notes say:

Evidence of employment
- letter from each employer
- payslips and/or bank statements
- p60s

But how many payslips/bank statements?
I can't find any information about this in the guide.
All bank statements for 6 years is about 200 pages or more.

The guide also says:

Evidence of public funds / state benefits
- bank statements showing receipt of benefit(s)
- letters confirming receipt of benefit(s)

And again, how many bank statements?
Is there any more precise guide available?

Many thanks

The idea is you have to show 5 years of continuous exercising treaty rights (w/out gaps), in your case working as an employee. I'd include payslips for all 5 years and ignore bank statements. Payslips are solid proof of working as an employee. They include hours, taxes paid, NI contribution paid, company pension paid, and net payment received. It's an official document, and for the purpose of establishing the fact that an applicant exercises treaty rights they are sufficient. They are also sufficient to establish the fact that an applicant has lived in the UK over a certain period of time.
Mean what you say, say what you mean

Thank you for your advise.
How about public funds / state benefits?
Would it be enough to send 2 statements per year showing those?
In my case it's child benefit, working tax credit and child tax credit.
