fiance working in uk

hi. my fiance is in the uk working with a work permit. we would like to get married and i would like to move to the uk. what is the procedure for something like that. she is a chinese citizen, and so am i. do we get married in china or uk? i am currently in the uk as a visitor.

You need to apply for a CoA (Certificate of Approval to Marry) if there is enough time left on you visa. If you get the CoA back before your visa expires you can marry in the UK. Then you will have to return home and apply for leave to enter as WP dependent of your new wife.

If you don't get it in time you'll prolly have to marry in China, or another country, and apply for LTR as before as a WP dependent.

Remeber the CoA is not a visa, just a permission to marry. It does not entitle you to stay in the UK. It's basically a rip off.
