German resident card and Schengen visa

Post by mgchen » Fri Nov 16, 2007 1:32 pm

I have got a resident card in Germany on the basis of a family member of EU national. But I am not sure if this can be used as a schengen visa for going to another Schengen country or Switzerland. And my wife needs to go with me or I can go alone?

The Residence Card for non-EEA family member is valid for all Schengen countries, even though they can insist that your EEA family member be travelling with you.
