If your girlfriend is thinking of studying English, try and get her an assessment and college place offer BEFORE she leaves the UK. And make sure the college is one on the approved list.

I would strongly advise that any college you choose is affiliated to the British Council. Their courses are more expensive but they are reputable and Immigration Officers accord such colleges due respect.

Many a student has been refused by enrolling at a college whose fees are next to nothing,enrolling at such a college is a red flag to the IO.
