Hello

My girlfreind applied on 25 August 2007 for student visa for the short course less than 6 months duration. (Before September changes)
She got the EC stamp " NO Work or access to public funds"

Is the new rule for new Student visitor visa effecting her as well?

Is she able to extend visa in UK (she wants to study another 12 monts course)

Please help

As with everything that BIA do.
All new laws are with immediate effect, so your GF would be effected by the new rules.

Our first visa was a STS one! Ahhh....

The was no work on that either, and ur supposed to return home after the course finishes so what out for that one. We nearly fell foul of this, gf stayed three months after a two week course - we niaively thought six months visa - six month stay. Not true as we all know now but we where visa virgins back then.

She can apply for a 'proper' Student Visa in-country - that's just what we did and it was totally painless.
