Schengen Visa By French Embassy

Post by Tyro » Mon Nov 19, 2007 8:21 pm

Hello All,

In last few days I have been searching schengen visa info on various unhelpful website then finaly i got there. I am very positive i m on the right place now.
:)

Here is my query, please help
My wife is Cypriot she is EU national.
I am currently in Uk for two years on residence permit with HSMP Visa. Indian Passport.

We have booked our holiday for Spain for next month, but after reading about spain embassy visa handling we got disappointed and I want to apply for schengen visa via French embassy that seems to me the best choice. But I have some questions and I am wondering if you can help please.

1. If I apply schegen visa as EU national spouse from French Embassy and do getit. Will it be valid for all Eu countries to travel direclty ?(I am currently in UK and have UK residence permit that is valid till November 2008). Or will I have to travel through France only. Our original plan is to go to spain for a week.

2. When I fill schegen visa form i want to apply for multiple visa and want it for 6 months to 1 year please advise what i have to specify in form.

3. Also as EU national spouse what supporting doucment i need to send to french embassy.

4. I believe i need to specify trvel dates and i also need not to send hotel booking and other arrangement as we need to do for normal trousit visa. :?

a quick help will be highly appreciated as we have already planed our journy for spain and learnt the spain is not the best choice for quick visa.

Many Thanks for your help in advance.
