Tier 2 ICT long term visa after 12 mnths cooling off period

I entered UK in Sep 2011 under TIER 2 ICT LONG TERM VISA , i am in my 5th year now post which as i understand i cannot extend my visa and will have to be out of UK mainland for 12 months to serve a cooling off period, is that correct?
If yes,
after 12 months of being outside UK which are all the different Tier 2 visa categories i can re-apply to re enter UK
