Family visiting (Wife + 2 Children)

I have just switched my Tier 4 to Tier 2 (general) and my contract/visa ending by end of august 2016,

My wife and my daughter are in Tier 4 (Dependent) and they are not currently in UK and her visa expiring in couple of weeks the (Tier 4) ,since my wife will deliver second baby by mid december , and so we thought to wait till she give birth and then they apply New visa and come to visit me here in UK.

Basically, till we sort out all paper-work for new baby it could be end of January so I thought they can apply as Standard Visitor (6 month period) since I will be staying till only August 2016 and who knows if I will be extending or not.

My question is : can they apply as General Visitor all of them (cost me 300 pounds for all of them) or they have to apply as Tier 2 ( dependent) , (Cost me 2200 pounds application fees)?

Unlikely you'd get a visit visa.

When you say 'contract' you're not contracting on a T2 are you?

Yes, I am on Tier 2 General

And are you 'contracting' i.e. assigning a contract you obtained to an umbrella company?

It's not permitted to contract via on intermediary on T2.

It is via contract ending 31th August 2016 that why my visa ending 14th September 2016
