Tax Issue and ILR

what exactly HO looking regarding tax issue

my accountant told me to pay online last 5 years old tax ? confirmation will come online
is their any issue to pay online tax
is hmrc accept this amendment tax and later on give penalties of this tax

normally if accountant write a letter to hmrc
so hmrc takes 12 weeks to process your accounts after receiving that letter and also hmrc give penalties of late payment etc
some time hmrc not accept more than 4 year old tax?

please advise me friends, i got only few week to go for my ILR

They're looking to see if you have paid all the tax owed, and if you have inflated/deflated income to deceive.

I cant recall any occasion when HMRC refused to take extra money from tax payers .... Yes they wont give you back anything after 4 years however will take anything from you even after 10 years .

I hope it make sense.
