Residency card or permanent residence document

Post by junika » Thu Nov 26, 2015 8:34 pm

Hi, I am an EEA national who has lived in the UK for more than 10 years and would like to apply for British citizenship. The new application form now requires that I supply a document that shows I have permanent residence (another huge application form). Can anybody tell me roughly how long I will have to wait for the application to be processed as there is no contact phone number or information in the guidance notes / website. Any info would be much appreciated.

It could take 6 months, especially as there is likely to be a big increase in PR applications due to the new BC rules requiring proof of Permanent Residence.

Thanks for the reply Casa, hopefully they won't change the BC application form again by then!
