Hi Guys,
I've got a bit of an interesting situation in my case and was wondering if anyone can help me out. I was on a Tier 2 General Visa with a company but in my case I had to resign in August 2015 as I was the victim of some unfair treatment. Story for another day.
I decided to switch over to a Tier 4 student visa to do a full time PhD (which I've always wanted to do by the way) but I was made an offer by another company in September 2015. I then decided to hold on with the PhD programme since the new company had also agreed to take over sponsorship of my visa.
Unfortunately things didn't go as quickly as I expected as they were delays in processing things for the next two months by the new company. However this November, these issues were resolved and they have given me the go-ahead to proceed with the new Tier 2 visa application.
What I want to find out is if this is going to be a problem when I go to make a new application with the UKBA considering the fact that I resigned my other job with the other company and technically wasn't on any company sponsored or student visa between August and November.
I have been told by a friend that usually the UKBA send out letters to Tier 2 visa holders like myself to get a new job or leave the UK in the next 28-60 days but I haven't received this letter yet.
Thanks for your assistance.
