How long I can work with T2 ICT short term visa

Hi,

If this is already asked and answered(I couldn’t find a similar one) please give me links to relevant discussions.

I have T2 ICT short term visa for 12 months which ends on March 31st 2016 but I have COS with work end date as 28th February 2016.
So I’m confused on how long I can work in UK – is it till my visa end date or COS end date? Kindly help me here.

The gov.uk mentions below but does not mention about work
You can come to the UK with a Tier 2 (Intra-company Transfer) visa for up to the maximum stay allowed for your visa type,
or the time given on your certificate of sponsorship plus one month, whichever is shorter.

You may "work" in the UK until the "end date on the CoS" but you may "remain" in the UK until the "expiry date" of your leave (visa).

If you don’t mind I have a further query on this. Hope you can help.
Is there any way for my employer to extend my work permit to match my visa end date in this case?

What was the start date on the CoS? Did you join work on the said date?

It was 1st April 2015. Yes. I started work on the same date.

In such case you would have only worked 11 months by 28-Feb., and thus should be able to work for another month until expiry of leave (12 months).
Ask your employer to call the helpline and enquire.
