VFS (Indian visa/consular services) - A couple of queries

Post by docitduo » Mon Nov 30, 2015 3:09 pm

Surrender Of Indian Passport wrote:Surrender/Renunciation Certificates once issued by the competent authorities will be delivered by Post/Courier. Applicants are required to provide A4 SIZE self-addressed envelope (Special Delivery) per application
I believe they have simialr instructions for OCI application as well.

Will any other size do, e.g. - C6 (accommodates A4 paper with one - fold)? Or do they insist on A4 (I hope Royal Mail sells A4 special delivery envelopes!)?

Also,
Do they apply any "surcharge" on credit card payments?

TIA

Surprised, no one knew!

Anyways, for the benefit of anyone looking for answers to the above queries:

1. Royal Mail doesn't sell A4 envelopes. Buy the standard C6 size prepaid envelopes (paid upto 100gm @6.45 or paid upto 500gm @7.25).

2. There is a 2% surcharge on credit card payments.
