Extension or settlement

Post by Rji » Fri Dec 04, 2015 10:49 am

I have been in UK since mar 2010 as a tier2 spouse visa. And since dec 2012 I am on leave to remain partner. I am confused now as I meet all the requirements to be eligible for ILR listed on government site. Do I go for ILR now or extension route ? Any advice please??

I think you need five years on spouse visa - time on T2 Dependant (not a spouse visa) doesn't count (unless under 10 year rule).

It should count, if you switched to FLR(M) from PBS dependant prior to 6th April 2014.

Thank you for your reply. I did switch to flr( m) dec 2012 where my spouse turned British citizen on June 2012. I am confused here because I don't know if I fall under the " person applied before 9 July 2012 or after".

If you had leave as a PBS dependant prior to 9 July 2012, then you should fall under the person applied before 9 July 2012.

How long was your FLR(M) granted for?
