iLR in expired passport

Post by Graeme12345 » Mon Dec 07, 2015 7:56 pm

Hi

I hope you can help me. I received iLR in 2009, and this is stamped in my passport. Unfortunately my passport expired a couple of months ago.

I have not renewed my passport as I am saving for naturalisation, and hope to afford this early in the new year. However, I am now looking to change jobs, from my understanding having iLR in an expired passport is no longer proof of my eligibility to work. Therefore, I need to apply for a brp. My question is, can I apply to change my iLR to a brp without a current passport, or do I need to renew my passport prior to doing this?
Any help is gratefully received.

Renew your passport first.
