FLR(M) renewing - help please

Hello all,

I am currently on the Spouse Leave to remain visa and it expires next month. My wife is British citizen. I understand that I need the FLR(M)visa application form.

I am planning to go to the counter to get the visa on the same day. Could you please advise me on following queries please ? thanks

1. When is the earliest I can apply?
2. Do I need to take my wife with me to the appointment(my salary will cover the financial requirement)?
3. How long do I need my bank statements?(i.e. 6 months?)
4. How long do I need my payslips?( i.e. 6 months?)
5. I have a joint mortgage do I need a letter from the bank to prove this or just the bank statement is fine?
6. Do I need to fill the application form online to make an appointment or can I print the application and fill it?
7. When do I pay the health surcharge?
