Change Of Sponsorship for Repeating Module or Resitting exam

Hi is there anyone who can explain me the rules regarding the change of tier 4 sponsor please? I want to repeat my module and resit my exam with a new sponsor. I have tier 4 visa untill 11th april 2016 sponsored by a HEI. My existing sponsor will not issue CAS for repeating my modules but a new sponsor will issue CAS for repeating my module for the same course which will start in January 2016. My question is when do I need to apply for visa for repeating my module with the new sponsor? Before starting my class in January 2016 or I can wait until April 2016? Thank you.
