UK visa for husband visiting from India

Post by sharankr » Sat Dec 12, 2015 8:36 pm

Hello everyone,

I hope someone will be able to help me with this.

I married my husband in India (Indian citizen) in April 2015 and after my divorce in March. He would like to visit me here for 10 days. He has a job and family in India and has no intention of overstaying as he is the sole breadwinner and has family responsibilities. I am a British citizen.

How would we go about getting a visa for him and what documents would be essential? We do not intend to apply for a spouse visa as I do not have an income but have sufficient funds and residence for his stay. Also, many of my documents e.g utility bills are in my previous married name. Will this be a problem?

Any help will be gratefully received. Thank you everyone!

He will have to submit extremely strong evidence of ties to his home country.
