Is it an Article 10 RC?iyabo wrote:My friend is has got a 10yr resident permit in France. She has just married to a German citizen. Her son from a previous relationship is a french citizen. She would like to visit UK for holiday with her son. Did she need a UK visa? Thanks
It is a residence card, issued to you as the family member of an EEA national who is exercising free movement rights in another EEA State (i.e. not your EEA relative’s Member State of nationality) under Article 10 of Directive 2004/38/EC.iyabo wrote:Is it an Article 10 RC

Article 10 Residence Cards are valid for only five years. So the fact that she has got a 10 year RC suggests that it was issued under domestic law, not EU law (Article 10). So, it would not be valid for travel to the UK.iyabo wrote:My friend is has got a 10yr resident permit in France.
