Hello,
First thanks for your time. I have a pressing problem i need advice from.
I am getting married in January to a Turkish girl, who lives here in the UK. We thought getting a visa for her parents and sister to come to the wedding would be a straight forward affair. To put it into context, he is a recently (within the last few years) bank manager with a comfortable mortgage, owns a large flat in the best part of Adana and has more than sufficient funds in his account. His wife is a teacher at a leading private school, while his daughter is enrolled at University and currently doing her first year.
However the visa was rejected for two points..both of which seem odd.
It reads as following...You state that you are retired and that your proposed visit will cost you 1000 pounds and that you have 3000 available to you. As evidence of your circumstances you have provided a bank statement/letter, a credit card statement, property deeds and other documents in Turkish. However the financial documents you have provided do not contain the SOURCE OF THE FUNDS held in the account. There it is unclear whether these funds are genuinely available to you and that you will be able to fund your proposed trip for yourself and your family.
In addition you state that your sponsor will accommodate you and your family for the duration of your visit. However the documents provided do not confirm that your sponsor is able to do so.
These reasons confused me, and i am unable to understand how to rectify. I wrote a letter explaining they are coming for the wedding, and said they would be staying at my house. What documents do i need to provide to show i can accomodate the family??? It seems bizarre. I live in a 500,000 pounds four bedroom house!
Secondly the source of funds? He is retired, and sent in the payments of his pension. The rest comes from saving over the years. He is not a poor man, and earned a good enough living to retire at 49 and put both his daughters through university - one of whom through the UK.
I am at a loss of how to proceed. Any advice would be gratefully accepted.
Should we reapply with new documents? IF so which ones?
Or would it be better if i just booked hotels for them, or they booked hotels - therefore getting around the sponsor is able to accommodate them? However this does not get around the issue of the source of funds.
Or would it be better still for me, or my father, to become full sponsors of the visit? If so, what would we need to provide to ensure there is no second refusal? I get married in 6 weeks and i do not have time to get this refused again.
Please help.
Kind Regards
Edgar
