My son visa was approved next day of biometric. Got approval couple of days ago but still waiting for BRP though. You should have checked the statement before applying. I checked 15 times before applying. Now use another statement which have £700 for last 90 days and you will be fine. You don't need any covering letter.

Syedalizubair,
Covering letter is just like any other letter. Adress it to uk home office, then subject and main text body which will describe the background of the application. Its not necessary but looks good with application. if i would write it, it will be as:
To home office......
their adress.......
date...........
subject: Tier1 Ent. Dependent application for .............
Dear sir or madam,
Main text body.............describe who is applying. Little bit about your business. And list the documents u are enclosing to support your application.
Your's son name/urs if u r writing on his behalf......
adress......

Dont mind, Its little more descriptive :) . Hope it can confirm ur format.
Good luck
cheers
