VIGNETTE TRANSFER ON ANCESTRY VISA

Post by Writer2020 » Mon Jan 04, 2016 4:46 am

My wife has been granted 'To Join Partner' permission to enter the UK.
However, the UK Entry clearance stamp in her passport expires 24/3/16. (March)
She does not want to enter the UK until 24/4/16 (April).
How do we extend the entry clearance and what is the cost.
I have tried logging on to the UK Visa site but can't access her application as it is complete.
Please walk me through ALL the steps.
Please do NOT just send me to the main website and make me fend for myself.
We were processed in Manila...will she have to send her passport there AGAIN for a new stamp?
The irony is that my application for the Ancestry visa was refused (their oversight...awaiting the result of my appeal sent to Manila) and yet my wife was successful!!
Please help me.
PS NOT impressed with their site or unhelpful, lazy replies to emails sent via the site and don't get me started on the security officer at the Melbourne interview centre!!

Note that your wife's leave is not valid for travel without your leave being granted, so they probably reconsidered your refusal.

She may apply for replacement after your leave has been granted.

Thanks for your reply Vinnie.
My wife had her interview on 14/12/15 and I sent my appeal to Manila on 15/12/15.
She got her Visa a few days ago but I've heard nothing so far.
It says appeals take up to 28 days so I still doubt that they even checked me and my situation...they were probably just impressed with the excellent application I filled out on my wife's behalf.
The other oversights that led to my refusal makes me feel this is just another example of the incompetence in Manila.
