Re-Enter UK on Visit Visa

Apoligies if this is asked already I did try and look but couldn't find.

My partner has a 6 month visit visa valid from 5th November 2015 to 5th May 2016. He came for 3 weeks at Christmas and returned yesterday to Turkey (3rd January), he was hoping to return to the UK to see me on 15th January (maybe 23rd January) but we have heard that this could be too soon and border control may refuse him entry? Surely whilst his visa is valid and he has a return flight they wont refuse him?

Any advice or experience welcomed :)

It's risky as the Immigration Officer could consider it too soon after his recent visit and refuse him entry.

Thank you Casa. How long would you recommend he waits to come back if he left UK on 3rd January?
