Lost BRP Urgent Help

Post by jonny911 » Mon Jan 04, 2016 11:29 pm

My wife is abroad and has had her BRP stolen, we have reported it and I understand she needs to apply for a replacement BRP visa to gain entry back to the UK via the following link https://www.gov.uk/biometric-residence-permits/replace

What I cannot seem to find anywhere is a list of supporting documents, the form appear to be the same as a general visit visor but it does state BRP replacement. Does anyone know what documents must be submitted or any links where I can find this?

Thanks

Can anyone help with this? 3 days of searching and I have found no guidance notes on applying BRP replacement Visa, contacted home office and received a generic reply. I don't know if just passport, application form and photographs is all that is required or if I need more.

Any advice greatly appreciated

Travelling on BRP reported as stolen

Post by jonny911 » Sat Jan 23, 2016 7:08 pm

My wife's BRP was reported stolen as it was inside my car that had need nicked. BRP was reported to home office as stolen and has been cancelled. Car has now been recovered along with BRP. My wife is outside the UK and needs to get back, instead of apply for replacement BRP visa to get here what would happen if she tried to use her old one? I know when she got to Uk immigration she would get seriously ticked off but would she make it here? Can and do the Stupid make check on BRP's? Would they know before letting her board that it not valid?

She will be coming through Hong Kong

Some Stupid can have systems in place & do run visa/travel docs & Interpol checks.
She could face boarding denied.

Suggest contact HO/UKVI for advice about your filed report.

If she makes it to UK, wife is almost certain to have some serious explaining to do at UK border control;
any official evidence/docs relating to recovery of car &/or comms with embassy may help.
(My wife used to be frequently stopped & grilled even with a totally legit BRP).

Suggest you are on hand at airport too, armed with any helpful docs you may have.
