Tier 2 ICT to Tier 2 General

Post by sabikhi » Tue Jan 05, 2016 3:36 pm

Hi,

I am in UK on a tier 2 ICT Long term which was granted in Dec'14 and valid until Dec'17.

I understand that switching from ICT to Gen is possible only in case the salary is more than the threshold set by UKBA i.e. around 155k per year.

I have been offered a 9 months contract with extention option where daily billing is £800 which works out to be 160000 over period of 9 months. The company is also ready to provide a restricted CoS. Question:--
1) As annual salary is more than govt threshold, can i switch to T2G within UK?
2) The visa will be valid until 9 months only. After this period if I get another T2G sponsoring employee, who offer lessor salary (say around 80K), Can I switch to a Visa with them? or I have to wait for 12 months, as cooling of period or ICT would not be ended.
3) Can my dependents apply for T2G Dependent visa even if my visa validity is only for 9 months (My initial T2G visa).

Thanks,
Sunny

as long as the new employer can issue u a cos stating the salary will be more than 153k, you should be fine in changing your visa.
once you are on tier 2 visa, you can change jobs, provided u do it before end of expiry of that visa and within the uk. rlmt will be needed for that visa, with un restricted cos. if you dont get the cos before expiry of visa, and u leave the country, then there will 1 year cooling off time.
your dependents will be able to apply for same leave with you each time.
