My friend applied for LTR based on marriage. she is married to British for 4 and half years has an over one year old child with him and looks after his 2 other children. she sent all her documents . (she has about 100 or more) she filtered about 30. they replied by requesting more Ids from first year and id for her husband for last 4 months of last year. that year she was pregnant and the hospital would have records of her antenatal treatment
and birth records with husband present at birth and all records show husband present in all visits as translator as well.
Don't they use their brain and think that the couple are really married ?????? what is the point of asking for more documents when the marriage is obviously genuine??????
I feel like replying to the case worker and tell him to have a brain transplant honestly. shame It ain't my case
The question
she has 8 documents for that period dec 2005- november 2006
she had No bills no bank accounts simply hospital letter car registration council letters and doctor letters and of course birth of her son papers like injections etc.... all at the same address.
will that be enough????????
they also wanted a confirmation letter from college that her Esol certifications contain citizenship material and what level was she at when she joined them.
This is new can't they tell??????????
I believe that she should have phone the college or cambridge place and get that info. no????

I am afraid they are not being thick. The problem is that she has not supplied the required documentation, so they have asked for more. She should get everything she can in order to prove her case.
Assuming this is ILR that is. If it is just further leave then yes, they are indeed being thick.

Unfortunately, the Home Office has successfully drummed out of most of its staff any vestigial common sense and judgment. We are therefore left was a mass of homogenous clones and automata who tick boxes.
And God help any applicant who doesn't tick a box........

And won't it get better next year when more powers are given to Entry Clearance Officers....

I have a look at her papers . I think they should be ok. there were mor ethan ok there were as follows
she gave them
medical card
water bill
college letter
at one address she lived for 3 months
then the other address the landlord paid for all bills since there was only one metre for the town house
but still gave them
every month bank sttement showing around £5000.00
husband bank statement about £ 9000.00 various banks including foreign all showing same address
kids letters address to parents usually husband
baby notes addressed to mother name
plus
new address again
all water bills
electricity bills
bank stetements
etc..
over 100 in total but picked up the most important ones
including housing association visit letters every month
plus baby birth certificate
If they are not thick I think i would say I am thick instead
now she added all others just to piss them off including baby red book and all injection letters with her name as well as the hospital folder
I was going to say why not sending them a video of their sexual activity as souvenir

fantastic news!
I am not, and cannot, offer legal advice to particular people. I can only discuss general areas of immigration law.
People should always consider obtaining professional advice about their own particular circumstances.

tinux, good news, and proof that once they are satisfied with the evidence provided the visa will be issued!
Clearly, from what has been posted there was insufficient regard to the evidence initially supplied. Better attention should have been given to this aspect, clearly in the guidance notes on the form.
