Wages for Full time Employee

Post by dontworry » Mon Jan 11, 2016 7:11 am

Hi Guys,

Thanks for all your previous support, this time I have a small questions for you all.

1) What's the minimum full time wages? is it 36 hours per week and £7 per hour = £252
2) Can I employ a full time apprentice ? and consider him as a full time employee ( for apprentice you pay £5 /hour)

Waiting for reply.

Many Thanks in Advance

1. The min wage is currently £6.70 per hour. If you want to employee someone on the full-time basis, they need to work min 30 hours a week per EU laws.

2. You can employ an apprentice but cannot pay less than min wage. See https://www.gov.uk/take-on-an-apprentice/overview
