Successful ILR at Croydon PEO.... Tricky Dependant scenario

Post by Shah1234 » Tue Jan 12, 2016 4:03 pm

Hi All,

Just wanted to share my experience at Croydon PEO for my and my wife's ILR application.

Main applicant (me): Tier 1 General (5 years route) - first granted on 26/01/2011. No issues with this one and it was a straightforward case as i was employed by a same company for the past 5 years.

Dependant: My wife was first granted T1 G Dependant visa in March 2011 from India. She came here in UK for 7 months and returned back to India due to complications with pregnancy.

She stayed in India until March 2013. Her visa was meanwhile expired in Jan 2013.

We applied for a new entry clearance visa in Feb 2013 which was granted in March 2013 from India. She joined me in UK from April 2013 and is here since then.

Now as her T1 Dependant visa was expired in india and she was granted a new entry clearance in 2013, she would normally come under the 5 years ILR route (i.e. cases after 2012 changes). However, I was advised by my visa agent that as she returned back within couple of months after her visa was expired, she has still got a good chance for ILR success under the pre 2012 route.

By the grace of god and probably with some luck we both were granted ILR today.

Just wanted to share my wife's case as I am aware that there are many on this forum with similar issues.

Regards,
Rish
