entry clearance-India

Post by tas_ti » Tue Nov 27, 2007 4:05 pm

Hi all,

I have been approved a work permit of 5 years. I was graduated(Master's) this July in India and the company applied for work permit which was rejected after 2 months. Next time the company appealed against it and got it approved after 45 days. During this time I am working as an independent consultant. The fact is that officially I am unemployed now, so during entry clearance process, would my status of employment effect the visa decision in any way.

Awaiting valuable comments.

Thanks
Sat

Entry clearance - India

Hi

Its not a problem to have no current job as long as

1. You have enough savings to show that you can support yourself until your first paycheck

2. You will soon have suitable income in the UK (which you will have from your work permit employment)

I hope this helps
