Tier 2 Visa Dependent Application Form

Hi,

I would like to get clarification on Tier2 General Depedent Visa. Am currently in UK with Tier 2 General Visa valid upto 2017. Am planning to bring my wife as a dependent. So she wants to apply for Tier 2 Dependent Visa from India. While filling the online application We were quite confused about the below option

1. Which option do I need to select ?

Option1

1. Reason for Visit : Work
2. Visa Type: Tier 2 (General) Visa
3. Visa Sub Type: General Partner (Upto) 3 Years

Option2

1. Reason for Visit : Settlement
2. Visa Type: Settlement
3. Visa Sub Type: Wife

2. My another query is , any idea about the Tier 2 Dependent Visa Work Restriction. Does this rule is coming in April 2016 ? Will it affect for all new Tier 2 ICT and Tier 2 General Dependent Visa Applications ?

I don't believe that is correct. No 3 in both cases seems to be the correct option. In answer to your other question, unless anyone has a further update my understanding is that the right to work for Tier 2 dependants is still under consideration following the MAC report.
