Urgent: Do I need translations for biligual documents

If my bank statements are in both Chinese and English, since Hong Kong is a bilingual place, do I need translation or my visa application is dead in the water?

I know.
I only saw that one user had a degree from Spain or something who got refused a visa because there is one line of Spanish or whatever in an English award.
I am cold with fear now. All this work and preparation going down the drain because Hong Kong happened to be bilingual being a former UK colony?
I don't know how fussy they are with these things.

I also have a bilingual passport which I have put on my application form. It is not one of those documents that you need to supply listed in the guidance but that appeared in the "supporting document guide".
I do hope they would at least exercise common sense

In 2012 it was okay for a short student visa. I heard they have been nitpicking these days

If it's already bilingual in English, then what's the point translating the non-English parts into English again? Do the non-English parts contain items that were not translated?

That was my line of thinking until I saw a post where a user mentioned a refusal because of a non English line in a transcript.
I have based my application on the guidance. I hope that's enough.
When I was submitting the documents today, they asked if I have an offer letter to prove that I have a job, which I haven't got with me because it wasn't on the list of required documents. Hope a printed cos is enough

I don't think I submitted my offer letter along with the application. CoS has all the details i.e. designation, salary, responsibilities, etc, and CoS comes from the employer so a bit surprised that they specifically asked for it (??).

I think the VFS is using a one size fit all document checklist.
I asked them if they want my appendix 5 and they suddenly remembered that they do.
I am crossing my fingers so much they are twisty now
