Visit visa and application for spouse visa

Post by Pervaz » Mon Jan 18, 2016 6:19 am

Hi

I am working outside of UK. My wife is currently living with me and we will apply for a spouse visa later on due to work committments. We were considering going to UK for a holiday and just wondering that if her visit visa is refused will this have an (negative) impact on our spouse visa later on ?

(I am not anticipating any issues on her visit visa!)

Thanks

It won't, but in order for the visitor visa application to succeed your wife will have to submit evidence showing that she has stronger ties outside of the UK and she has here.

Submit evidence of your employment and any other ties you may both have to your current country of residence

I decided to chicken out of applying for visit visa becasuse the ECO might think it strange that she has only been in the country for one month and wants to travel to UK immiediately !
